Behavioral Health

At Coulee Family Medicine, our providers work alongside our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Licensed Behavioral Health Care Manager to provide an integrated and team-based approach for our patients.

To help decrease stigma and remove barriers for our patients to seek behavioral and mental health care treatment, visits with our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Licensed Behavioral Health Care Manager are scheduled in our family practice clinic.

What to Expect

The role of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is to assess, diagnose and treat the mental health care needs of our patients while working collaboratively with the health care team which includes the Primary Care Provider and Licensed Behavioral Health Care Manager. Our behavioral and mental health services include treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar, trauma and other mental health concerns, and may include prescribing of medications. Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializes in patients who are 13 years and older.

The Licensed Behavioral Health Care Manager works closely with each patient and their Primary Care provider to implement their treatment plan. The Licensed Behavioral Health Care Manager works to assess patient’s needs, assist with planning for crises and helps patients develop coping skills and works alongside the care team to provide counseling and direction.
